In July of 2026 we entered our third year of this incredible partnership with The Melting Pot that provides early to mid-career artists with the chance to exhibit their work. Creative Edinburgh Community Manager, Inga Dale Steyn, talks through her thoughts on the partnership as a whole and encourages other organisations to consider how they could also positively impact the community.

Every year, hundreds of talented creatives graduate from Edinburgh's colleges and universities with fresh ideas, specialist skills, and a desire to build meaningful careers. But for many, the journey from graduation to a sustainable creative career can feel less like a pathway and more like an obstacle course.

Raise Your Game National is a Scotland-wide skills development programme delivered in partnership with Creative Glasgow, Creative Dundee, the Creative Arts Business Network (Scottish Borders), Dumfries and Galloway Unlimited, OnFife, and Applied Arts Scotland.

We're seeking an early to mid-career graphic designer to develop the full visual identity and campaign assets for the 2026 Creative Edinburgh Awards, working closely with our Programme and Marketing teams. It's a paid freelance opportunity (£1,500) and a great portfolio piece for anyone with an interest in cultural or event-based design work.

We are looking for a Programme Manager based in Edinburgh to join our Executive Team and SMT for 12 months as Maternity Cover. We are a small, close-knit team, and you'll be playing an important role in supporting the growth of our creative community. You’ll be a team player with a passion for creative events and ideas for community-based programming.

Behind every great event are the visual storytellers who capture those fleeting moments of triumph and connection. This year, we were incredibly fortunate to work with two exceptional creatives: photographer Jakub Iwanicki and filmmaker Paula Nahr, whose combined skills brought the energy and emotion of the evening to life. 

We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Edinburgh-based Marketing & Communications Lead who is interested in the creative industries and community to join our Executive Team on a part-time basis. This role is key to delivering against the vision for Creative Edinburgh. You will be responsible for leading the strategic delivery of Creative Edinburgh’s Communications and Marketing Strategy to ensure the widest possible reach within the local, national and international audiences.
