Attention all Edinburgh based fashion/costume graduates and small business owners- introducing the sewing b&b! I know that the industry can sometimes be a lonely and difficult place, so I am opening up a space in my studio at The Heart of Newhaven for individuals to come and work on their projects. You will have access to your own large cutting table (150cmx90cm), lockstitch industrial machine and a shared industrial iron with vacuum board. £35 a day, £160 for a 5 day hire Monday-Friday10am-5pm

Creative Edinburgh are on the lookout for new mentors to join our incredible network of professionals. We are looking for people who would be willing to share their invaluable experience and knowledge and are passionate about supporting a business, freelancer, creative thinker or practitioner. Mentoring is a process where a trained individual offers their insights, industry knowledge, advice, support and guidance to an individual so that it can help them along their professional development. We’re looking for mentors who can support emerging creatives develop their confidence, knowledge, skills and potential. Becoming a mentor not only gives mentors the chance to support the creative community but by joining the programme, they will have opportunities to be professionally trained and to connect with a diverse range of experts within our existing Mentor community. We offer mentees 5 hours of mentoring across 5 months. The Weekly Write is a space for you to give time, energy, and love to your written creative ambitions. Summerhall are currently looking for 2 brilliant people to join our Press Office for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2024. As a Press Officer/Assistant you will be part of a small team who are the first point of contact for thousands of journalists and industry visiting Summerhall in August. As well as looking after these journalists and companies within the building, you will be trusted to manage admin tasks, tickets and publicity for the building as a whole.

Writing Mentor

Super Power Agency

We are looking for writing mentors to support young people in our workshops to get inspired by writing and to boost their confidence. You do not have to be a writer to become a mentor, just lots of enthusiasm for working, patience and passion. Super Power Agency volunteers come from every walk of life. Some want to give back to their local community, others want to gain experience working with children and some just want to help out! Founded in 2016, The Super Power Agency aims to improve the lives and literacy rates of some of Edinburgh's most under-resourced young people. Through a range of writing workshops, interdisciplinary creative programmes and the help of community volunteers, we aim to empower children and young people (8-18 years) through literacy. We are currently working with Leith Academy, with plans to expand to other schools and youth-serving organisations in Edinburgh and beyond.
